Hello, World!

Welcome, welcome! Here you will find pictures of our travels, some recipes we’ve adopted and adapted, and a chance to peek into our little world. I initiated this blog as way to keep in touch with my family, after I moved abroad to pursue research at the Max Planck Institute for Ornithology in Germany. On the blog I will mainly focus on two subjects: recipes I cook, for the Chinese half (because Chinese cuisine is basically Chinese culture); and photos of travels far and wide, for the German half (as Germans are renowned globetrotters). Hopefully my sister and mom will also be contributing blog posts here. I’ll update infrequently, but will try to make it worth the wait.

In 1817, Ludwig van Beethoven moved into the romantic semi-detached house here!
